I just watched "Into the Wild", the movie about Chris McCandless and it was brutal. 10/10 though. I read the book by John Krakauer and I think the moive does a really nice job of bringing Chris's story to life in a visual way. It's narrated by his sister unlike the book which is written in more of a news report style by Krakauer. Carine's perspective brings a more intimate feel to the audience. Seeing his experience and the things I'd read about on screen brought me to tears. It was well crafted and tasteful in the way it memorializes Chris and what has become his symbolic journey. I'd recommend it to anyone who thinks too much.
